Another time I decided to try to find something for a friend among the bric a brac I saw this same woman telling off a staff member about a booth and when she got angry enough, reached into the booth grabbed something and smashed it on the concrete floor. I decided to review this place because I see a lot of lousy behavior from them including the names on the reviews are employees of the store. This is supposed to be a list of legitimate reviews but people like Shekhar Mehta who designed the google web page (and is one of these good reviews) should be ashamed of committing fraud.
was hopeful of finding a local place to establish a relationship with because i have several items to re-upholster....however....was not even asked or looked at to find out if i needed help while walking around the store for 10+minutes. i did stare at a woman to make eye contact to hopefully get some attention and spark a fire under her a__.......but nope. very rude and will never go there again
They have a extremely good collections of drapery and upholstery fabrics upstairs. There is so much here, you will definitely find what you are looking for. And the trims…. You hardly find any, elsewhere. To die for!!! There is also a great selection of fabrics in the discount room downstairs. The people there are quite helpful and helped find the right theme and color for my house. I brought pictures with me to show them to the owner - she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating of my various questions. I will definitely shop at this place again .
Im local and have shopped here several times and I have never had an issue with getting help. But then again Im not a huge fan of getting pounced on by some employee - when I need help I will ask. I suppose some folks are more needy than others. Nevertheless, the fabric selection upstairs is great and you won't find a fabric store like it anywhere including the big remnant section downstairs. Also don't overlook the consignment shop below it's a real treat and you never know what you will find.
When I was in the store my first time I saw a woman purchasing upholstery fabric and noticed the Indian woman switch price tags on the discount item to charge the buyer a higher price. I said nothing but regret it.
Amazing selection of decorator and designer fabrics at Artee. I am from the backbay and I was not disappointed. Well worth the trip. I was looking to do just a couple of rooms, and looking at the prices I figure I can do all my rooms. I just found this beautiful linen embroidery that just goes with my rugs. The custom sofa that I wanted to for so long is happening now. Can't wait for it to come for my Christmas party. I could spend all day here.
